1st day: Catania
Arrive in Sicily, to Catania Airport.
Meeting with bus driver and guide for the guided tour of Catania. Catania is the second largest metropolitan city of Sicily. Over the centuries, it has faced earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, it has undergone a variety of dominations and urban changing. Here it is, at the beginning of the third millennium, with its vitality and its hardworking determination, ready to surprise you and make you fall in love, submerging you with intense flavours, Baroque stuccoes of UNESCO heritage and a myriad of unforgettable surroundings.

Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
2nd day: Etna and Taormina
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning dedicated to the visit of Etna, the largest volcano in Europe. Arrive to the Sapienza Shelter for the visit of Crateri Silvestri (Craters) and Colate from 2001.
Free lunch.
Afernoon dedicated to the visit of Taormina, famous for its Ancient Theater.
Return in hotel. Dinner and overnight.
3rd day: Noto and Siracusa
Breakfast in hotel.
Day dedicated to the visit of Noto and Siracusa. World Heritage site since 2002 thanks to its beautiful baroque-style historic old town, Noto has become a favorite and much appreciated destination very much in demand by Italian and foreign tourists. On the south-eastern coast of Sicily rises Syracuse, a city among the most noble and elegant from all over the Mediterranean Sea. Full of charm, history and natural landscape, enviable and envied, the city is divided into two different groups: the urban part of the city and Ortigia, the beautiful island of the city, increasingly rich in tourism.
Return in hotel. Dinner and overnight.
4th: Ragusa and Modica – city of Montalbano
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning dedicated to the visit of Ragusa, set of the telefilm "Montalbano". Ragusa is a two souls city: the modern city and the ancient Ibla, its Baroque lounge. This duality came after the famous 1693 earthquake, when the Ragusans adopted the 2 x 1 formula, maybe because they could not agree on the reconstruction plans. We are kidding, of course, although if you want to analyse it deep down there is some truth in it.

In the afternoon transfer in Modica. The elegancy of its buildings and streets richly decorated with baroque motives gave a significant boost to the town's tourism. A further contribution was the annexation to the communities of the world cultural heritage of the UNESCO in 2002. Modica is built at the foot of a rocky ridge where once two rivers flew which are underground today.
Return in hotel. Dinner and overnight.
5th day: Cyclops Coast and Acireale
Breakfast in hotel.
Day dedicated to the visit of Cyclops Coast. The origin of Acireale is traditionally linked to the legend of the Cyclopes, the giants that inhabited the Ionian coast, and the myth of the shepherd Aci and the nymph Galatea, whose love was hindered by the Cyclops Polyphemus. The Cyclops fell in love with Galatea and, for this reason, killed Aci throwing a giant boulder on him. On his deathbed, the shepherd was transformed into a river that flows into the sea in a spring called "the blood of Aci". Near the river Akis, the Romans founded a town whose remains have not been identified with certainty.
