Bergamo and Lorenzo Lotto - TRIP CODE: BGLOTTO

To the arrive in Bergamo meet with the guide and guided tour of Bergamo.
Climbed in High Bergamo with funicular and visit of S. Maria Maggiore Basilica and its Lotto Tarsie. Frescoes, stuccos, tapestries and wooden marquetry designed by the renowned artist Lorenzo Lotto decorate the inside of the building.
The visit continues with Palazzo Moroni. At Via Porta Dipinta 12 you find the entrance portal of Palazzo Moroni, one of the most genuine expressions of Baroque art in Bergamo. The building, realized in the 1600's by Francesco Moroni, is surrounded by a wonderful garden where a tower of the 1300's dominates. Inside the palace, a monumental staircase leads to the floor of the major rooms, where Giacomo Barbelli expressed his mastery.

In the afternoon visit of San Michele al Pozzo Bianco Church. The Venetian Master created some wonderful artworks in the San Michele al Pozzo bianco Church, including the cycle of frescoes depicting the Episodes of Mary’s Life, painted in 1525 in the left side chapel.
